We're a remote team working out of many timezones, based in Vancouver, Canada. We really love shipping software on the web. We've built our business around delivering the most value we can to our clients and customers, and as a result all of our business to date has been through referrals. We're growing because we deliver exceptional results.
We're looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team. This is a full time, contract position for 35-40hrs/week. We’re a fully remote and distributed team at Springloaded, and we value effective asynchronous communication.
There will be a lot of hands-on work with our client, so we’re limiting the position to PST-EST timezones. You’ll work your own hours, as long as you’re able to maintain a few hours of overlap with the team. You’ll integrate closely with our client’s design team, as well as the Springloaded dev team.
You'll need to be an expert in Figma. We're hoping to tighten up our version control and figure out the most efficient ways to batch releases to the dev team. You should be up-to-date on accessibility standards and best practices, with a good understanding of how your designs will translate to the browser. We use TailwindCSS, so experience designing with utility-first CSS frameworks is important for our teams to work efficiently.
You’ll be focused on a single client project in active development. We’re mid-flight developing a large scale, robust and data-heavy internal application with a lot of unique requirements and industry specific quirks. We’re looking to tighten up our existing design system and patterns while we continue to develop additional functionality and gather requirements for features. Experience working with stakeholders and users to develop business requirements and user stories will be key.
Here's some examples of things you might work on:
This position will start on a contract basis at 35-40hrs/week with a six-month contract. However, there’s the possibility of full time employment down the line for Canadian candidates if there's a great fit.
If you're interested in applying for this position, shoot us an email with your resume and cover letter at [email protected]. Feel free to use the email body for your cover letter, and we'd really prefer your resume to be in PDF form. Make sure you clearly include the timezone that you'll be working from. We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. We look forward to hearing from you!
